Privacy first, by design

Privacy Policy

Docarus is built for people who want to keep personal documents on their own device, not in the cloud. This page explains that in plain language.

Effective date: April 8, 2026

The short version

Docarus does not create an account for you, does not upload your files, does not connect to our servers, and does not track what you store or open. Your information stays on your phone unless you decide to move it somewhere else yourself.

What we collect

Nothing through the app itself. Docarus is designed so that your documents, scans, records, notes, and categories remain stored locally on your device. We do not receive your files, metadata, analytics events, usage logs, or device identifiers through normal app use.

What we do not collect

  • Your documents or the contents of those documents
  • Your name, email address, phone number, or account credentials through the app
  • Analytics, advertising identifiers, trackers, click data, or behavioral profiles
  • Crash telemetry, performance monitoring, or hidden diagnostics sent by us
  • Contacts, photos, calendar data, or other personal device information unrelated to the local files you choose to manage

No internet connection required

Docarus does not need an internet connection to do its job. It does not phone home, sync to our servers, or communicate with external systems for tracking, advertising, or profiling.

Local storage only

Everything you place into Docarus stays on your device unless you choose to export, share, back up, sync, or screenshot it using tools you control. If you move data out of the app, that action is initiated by you, not by us.

No tracking, no ads, no data sharing

We do not track your behavior in the app. There are no in-app analytics, no ad networks, no trackers, and no monetisation through your data. Because we do not collect app data, we do not sell it, share it, or use it for advertising.

Your responsibility

Because your data stays on your device, you are responsible for your phone security, passcodes, backups, exports, and recovery strategy. If your device is lost, damaged, reset, compromised, or unavailable, your data may also become inaccessible.

Children's privacy

Because we do not collect personal information through the app, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.

Changes to this policy

If this Privacy Policy changes, we will update the text on this page and revise the effective date. Continued use of Docarus after an updated policy becomes effective means you accept the updated version.
